I have recently been getting back into GH/RB. When I used to play I never went for FCs. So you guys have any tips for going for FCs. My goal is to get at least 40 total FCs by the end of February.

Ok, well that's quite a bit of fc's for such a short period of time but ima give u a fue pointers ;D. The fastest way to get an fc on a song, based on the difficulty of the song (i.e. ttfaf is hard and slow ride is easy as hell), are as follows...

Pretty easy : Basically you just want to play these songs over and over. It wont take many attempts depending on how easy the song is. Just make sure you don't let your mind wander while playing, not paying attention can lead to stupid mistakes especially if your playing on a higher level hyperspeed.

Medium : Really not much different from easier songs but maybe a bit faster strumming and HOPO's. *IMPORTANT* When playing any song, doesn't matter what difficulty, keep that beat! Losing tempo can ruin any kind of section no matter how hard or easy. try to do a little stupid trick to stay on beat like moving your foot, counting or even bouncing :P.

Hard : Things start to get interesting with these songs. you will probably see fast strumming, fast hopo's and many trills. I'm going to guess and say that you already know about trills so I'm not going to go into details about that. If you find a section bothersome, go into practice mode and grind the hell out of that section until you can hit it fluently. I would say 3 in a row is good for a real run.

Carpal Tunnel Hard : Now, if you ever want to fc one of these songs, you will need speed. And lots of it. Not much different from hard songs, if you run into a hard part of a song, jump into practice mode and tackle it from a different speed. Try to know your exact movements when playing that particular section. Guitar hero is not based on talent, it's based on skill, practice and, most importantly, muscle memory.

Extra Tips : There's not much left. Make sure you are at a comfortable hyperspeed, don't be afraid to tap sections it may just save your run. Also, depending on what game your playing, may determine how well these tips work so don't come crying to me when these tips dont work on like gh1 lol. [/u]

Next to just playing, look at the FC breakdown the community is making and try the first 10 songs to see if you can get close to FC'ing.
Also, trying to get 5 stars/6stars (Or gold stars for RB) on almost every song in the game really helps as well.

omg a new player that has a use for breakdowns?

the links to every one of them so far is in my sig, check them out. they're based on majority opinion so you might find you can FC #25 on a list but not #15 or whatever, but they're pretty good in general.

also "any tips?" ... hit more notes.
