To help me finalize a notechart for this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIZsojH-WT0
I made the tab completely using Guitar Pro, and have the mp3. But it's not coming out correctly in GHEx.
Problems:
It's giving me random sustains on most notes. I can't figure out how to make them stop (using GuitarPro, not Tabit).
Can't get the synch to work correctly. When I input an offset before uploading the MP3 in GHEx, it doesn't do anything.
So if you know how to take a Guitar Pro tab for a song and make it work in GHEx, I can send you all the fles I have and you can just format and finish everything. You can even take credit for it and put it on your list of charts, if you want.
Or, if anyone would rather just explain how to fix it to me, I can work with that, too. I just want to play this fucking song. |

What you're asking, I don't think, counts as a "request" of any since you got the ground work down, and you're just asking for assistance on the fine tuning. Perhaps someone will be nice enough to aid you. I'd help but I lack the time and the practice to perfect what you're asking.
Your question on sustaining notes has been asked but I searched to see if I could find it, but had no luck. If I remember correctly, you need to add the sticatto feature to the notes you want short.
How big of a number are you putting as the offset? I put at somewhere around 100 to start one beat later than it's supposed to. If you're not noticing a difference, then it maybe be an error in GHEx. _________________

I haven't tried this yet, but I heard if you use dead notes (X), they don't sustain. Otherwise use 16th notes as non-sustains with rests between. |

That might work but there's a chance that GHEx will recognize it as a note (or a 0 in this case) thus making an unwanted bullet. _________________

I just tried it out and GHEX does indeed recognize them. This'll be useful when I make my next song. |

So, it cuts of the notes like you intended? _________________

Yeah, the dead notes translate to non-sustains regardless of what they length of note they are. However, I haven't tried in game, so, though I doubt it, there could be some error in game. |

This topic has a few helpful hints about using GP5. I've been using it pretty regularly to make songs, so if you have a question I can answer I'd be glad to help, but I would probably post it there since it's been started already. |
