Haha, take that, Swifty. Tidus > j00.

And I remember at one point you said I Heard it Through the Grapevine was like a mini Superstition, but now you say it's overrated? Hm. Well, knowing that guy, he has some craziness in him.

Chaosfreak - LOL thanks! That's where the essence of the "mini" comes to action. It's a Soul song, has the improv aspects of "Superstition", but it's much much easier to learn than the Stevie Wonder song. Why "Overrated"? Because someone had the tendency to put it on an iron group, for an example *stares at WhYYZ*

WhYYZ - With or without American Pie FC'd, Grapevine isn't that hard. Now Y.M.C.A. is serious business.

I know, I know, Corinne Bailey Rae doesn't make any allusions to fire, but if you see the acronyms of the song's name, you'll see what I mean.

Hands down, this is the most inaudible song I can ever remember on this game. I wasn't quite prepared to do the transition from the bridge to 3rd chorus on PYRO, for my lungs were weak. So I did the Dashboard Confessional song first. 1 hour of grinding, only one choke on "On the stereo" line, nothing else other than the FC itself.

As for "Put Your Records On", chokefest on Bridge galore! I even had one on the 2nd-to-last phrase, but that doesn't keep the song from being catchy and a new guilty pleasure on my list. The 3rd FC is of one of the most undertiered songs on this disk. Those quick phrases, that choke on the last phrase because I didn't practice it...I was getting quite tired, glad the FC came.

I may be aiming for the rest of the non-exportable songs. "Beautiful Soul", another very catchy song, is an octave world of hurt and the verses are really annoying (had problems even to FC it on Hard). "Mr. Roboto" is an artificially hard song, as far as I know. Short phrases everywhere. Ugh.

You just doubled me....
Good job
Mr. Roboto isn't made harder, It's just has short phrases.
Not like Bad reputation, or Rock star

Inaudible vocals, on the other hand? Gotta hate that shit.

it has 65 and YOU beast xD!!

Also, good job tidus I agree with you for everything : PYRO isn't easy at all (lol @ the fiery pun xD) and it's one of my favourite songs on BH too ^___^ Hands down is annoyingly inaudible ! IWYTWM is undertiered, Beautifoul soul has very annoying verses, and Grapevine isn't that hard (and Mr Roboto is made hard by dumb short phrases while the song in itself is easy you will like Kung fu fighting and Rock star i'm sure )

Anyway i can smell a fgfc coming soon ;P

He'd probably like Kung Fu Fighting more than Rock Star tho.
Not to mention that you're probably getting the setlist totals mixed up with Van Halen, Diex

Anyway, "Put Your Records On" may have some lost potential in comparison to the other tier 9 tracks, but it's still a tough song to sing, especially with that breakdown section. 40 FCs is an awesome goal for the artificially-tough Band Hero setlist, and to see you get there is great enough as it is.

I'm on standby for when you reach 50, or better, the FGFC

Yay, replies! Thanks!

WhYYZ - "Mr. Roboto" IS made harder than it should be. What was charted as those short phrases on the verses aren't considered musically phrases. Anyway, this kind of song really pisses me off.

Chaosfreak - Obvious pun is obvious All in all, "Hands Down" is much, MUCH more doable than, say, "Sowing Season". Shorter song, more error margin for each phrase, and a shorter overall range meaning a more readable chart.

Diex - What Arvain and Wooffus said. In fact, I was looking for 44, but just because this means that I'll finally catch up with socko25, who came from the RB side, rented BH and destroyed all of those songs and ended up with these 44 FCs, back when I got to 200, facing a bad momentum caused by a more outrageous wave of complaints. Thanks for the compliment, even though the FGFC is still just a dream.

Arvain - What Wooffus said. I do like "Kung Fu Fighting", but...what the hell would make me like "Rock Star" at all? That song really sucks. Glad you agree with me on everything else though If you're smelling an FGFC though, you got another thing coming!

Wooffus - Even though PYRO isn't really a Tier 9 song as the game tries to show, it's a really tricky song. Corinne seems to go "freestyle" constantly, and the breakdown, of course, is the breakdown. 50 would be something great, and I believe on it if I keep the grinding coming.

In an attempt to review the vocal engine on the PS2 version of GH5, now that I learnt how to control the comet on the GHWT and its spinoffs, I also went to re-check the leniency. I could detect some leniency to reach the sweet spot for an Excellent in the past, but I was way too biased about the pitch leniency, probably.

So, what is a better song than one of the GH5 monsters to do this "test"? I tried "Superstition", which will always be THE hardest song to FC on GH5, and maybe THE hardest song all-around on GH5 in my book. I got a -2 on the 1st try, and the FC on the next. Okay, it's now proven. The PS2 engine, despite still jumpy, it is more lenient than the other three versions' engines, assuming that the Wii version has a much more approached presence to the PS3 and 360 versions.

With this, I made a setlist with 6 songs, and I FC'd them all, coming out with a G/B/V FC of "Fame". Well, there are 4 songs remaining, I'm not with the camera, but I'll upload the pics as soon as possible, so you're more than welcome to seal your lips, if your intention is to call me a fake.

Now I think...should I pretend this was just a test and keep going on with the next-gen stuff? Or should I finish GH5, get BH, finish the remaining 24 and represent the PS2 on the GH Vocals Full-Series FC Club? Or, more likely, do both, get FSFC with all of the FC's I have on both PS2 and 360 and keep developing my consistency?

However, I have some really happy news. Much like you can play Guitar and Bass on PS2 GH5 with the Dualshock via a trick, you can also play Voxtar and Voxbass with it, the proceedment is the same, but you'll need 2 controllers this time, one for Vocals and other for Guitar or Bass. It's another history, I'm pretty much forced to sing without seeing, and my coordination is very poor. But it's really fun, it renews the will to play, even with the really long loadtimes (why not just keep them like the GHWT spinoffs, FFS). I'm still to try my 1st FC, maybe if I get an easier song than "In My Place" (where I choked on a solo vocal phrase at the end), I can make it.

Arvain - Glad that you and others held out. But I can't "gogo!" late at night, that's for sure

Anyway, there are the promised pic proofs. Not entering these scores on the LB's because I'll totally clutter them. "Enjoy"!

(Somethin' said to me that I shoulda saved "Sowing Season (Yeah)" for the final one. Oh well...)

Wow, you took down some insane songs there .

What 'hard' songs have you got left for a GH5 FGFC?

I don't even know if this is hard for you :P

^ He has So Lonely, DYFLWD(L), Saturday Night's Alright and Play That Funky Music left.

And tidus, nice job, no matter which way you do it. ^_____^ Also, since the scores all end in 000, I take it freeforms don't do anything in this one? (even though I thought it was the same as M/SH/VH)
