Okay, I can't solder worth shit and the "low-tech" solution is not working for me. What would happen if I just pulled the accelerometer off the circuit board completely?

if you do that. then it will register as tilt constantly going off with no way to reset it. in other words, you'd be screwed! very bad idea.

HELP!!! I got the soldering done, but the up, down, and A (a.k.a. strum bar and green button) aren't registering anymore.

Has anyone done this mod on a Logitech Guitar? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Best solution ever. Every time I tried to tap anything, the damn tilt sensor went off... I went into this thinking it would be really hard, but it actually wasn't. I can barely solder worth shit, and yet this still wasn't difficult to do at all. Of course there's a huge glob of solder over the 6g diodes and I burned the logic board within like a 3mm radius of the contact points, but it still works! If I can do it, I'm pretty sure anyone can with enough patience... and of course, light (it was damn hard to see so I had to use my iPhone's LED). Thanks for this, having SP always go off was incredibly frustrating but now I never have to worry about that anymore.
