Band Hero Drumkit registers wrong pad

Whilst playing the Guitar Hero games with my Band Hero drumkit (warranty expired) I discovered that I wasn't able to make any hitting streaks. After some research I found out that when I hit the blue pad it sometimes registers a hit on the green pad as well. However, I didn't find any logic in the problem. It's not a specific place where to hit it to get this double hit and it happens on both soft and hard hits. Of course it makes playing the games impossible. I haven't opened the drumkit for I am not quite of a technician myself.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem?

did you tried this ? it oftens fix the problem. it's also a sticky.
