|

Hi all, I downloaded my whole library of GH DLC on my brother's X-Box account, since he owns the X-Box that he shared with me. Now that I have my own X-Box and my own account, is there any way I can transfer all the DLC to my account? I would be annoyed if I had to pay and re-download all the DLC I have accumulated over the years. Thanks for the help. _________________

yeah all you have to do is transfer the license to your xbox now. just make sure you want to do that because you can only do a transfer every so often... _________________

That isn't what he was asking. He wants to transfer DLC from his brother's account to his new account. _________________

1. Recover your brother's gamertag on your xbox
2. Initiate a license transfer using your brother's account
3. Go to your brother's download history
4. Redownload all your dlc |

But he will have to use his brother's account and not his. You can't just transfer DLC for use across accounts, then everyone would just share DLC _________________

Ever noticed how if you play on a console which DLC was downloaded on, then you don't have to be in the account that bought it? Well this only works on the console the DLC was originally bought on (hence why people don't use it to share DLC), and license transferring will make the OP's console have that ability for the GH/RB DLC instead of his brother's. Also, I have done this before. It works. _________________

J = jeffo2448
B = Brother
If you license transfer B's account from console B to console J, then you can redownload all the DLC that B had downloaded and use it on console J, even when signed in with account J.
HOWEVER, you will no longer be able to use account B on console B, effectively fucking your brother over.
So no, not really, you can't. _________________

No, Account B can still use all their dlc on Console B, they just have to be signed in to play it. |

This. Also, B's account no longer has to be on J's console after the license transfer (not like that's relevant, as you can now have an account on more than one console).
We could bicker more but it'll go nowhere. OP, just do what The-B.O.D. said and if somehow we end up being wrong it's nothing that can't be undone. _________________
