No question, pick him up. |
I also have Phillip Rivers as trade bait and currently in first place XD It'll be fun having 3 quality QB's to choose from each week, and having great backup in case a starter of mine goes down. _________________

Speaking of refs, last night was the absolute last straw. The Rams/Redskins game on Sunday was terrible, but last night... dear lord. Six minutes to figure out a fumble, line judges routinely getting talked into throwing flags by wide receivers, a brawl that had every single judge looking scared for his life... I could go on and on. If the real refs aren't back in for this Sunday's games- or, at the very least, significant progress hasn't been made to getting them reinstated the week after- I'm boycotting the games. If the NFL can't do the kind of simple social media background check that K-Mart managers mastered years ago to withhold less than 1% of its income from the men (and women now) that maintain the integrity of the game every week, I'm done. I'll set my fantasy lineups, read about them, then go spend my Sundays cleaning the house and running at the lake. It's a joke. _________________

I'm feeling the same way. I better prepare to do other things on Sundays, because one of two things will happen: 1) the regular refs cave in, and return to work for less than what they want, or 2) The refs don't cave, and Goodell keeps these replacements in all season. I'm leaning towards the latter. Goodell has no reason to give the refs what they want, unless millions of people stop watching games. If the league isn't losing money, there's no reason for him to change anything. _________________

At least it's a little bit easier to not watch football this season. Greg Knapp's playcalling is making me wish that we had an offensive coordinator that actually knew that McFadden is on the team. If we somehow upset the Steelers at home, great. But honestly, I'm becoming much less interested in football with these awful referees. It's embarassing having these awful of refs in the field. My friend's dad is a line judge in the Pac-12, and it seems weird that he is much more of a qualified official than pretty much any ref in the NFL. It was nice to see Peyton's lack of arm strength on display for a bit, though.
Also, fuck my fantasy luck this season. I ended up having to autodraft in a league I own, telling myself that I would only set the roster once a week and wouldn't update the roster. That team is now in 2nd in our division thanks to a 146 point outing:
Vick: 21
Rice: 14
Bush: 31
White: 16
Amendola: 20
Witten: 5
McGahee: 24
Lions D: 5
Bryant: 10
...while I lost my matchup as every single pick I thought was going to work ended up backfiring on me.
Ryan: 17
McFadden: 3
Charles: 1
Green: 11
Harvin: 11
Tamme: 1
Peterson: 8
Eagles D: 6
Hanson: 15
And of course, Vincent Jackson (18) is sitting on my bench, and replacing him with any of my RB's would have won me my week. _________________

Okay, so would anyone be interested in trading a running back for something? _________________

I have Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, Antonio Brown, Robert Meachem and Randy Moss. Megatron is off limits, Roddy could be negotiated for a legit good running back or put into a multiple player trade, and I'd part ways with the other three. _________________

Seeing how in the Scorehero Betting League, Spoonman and I were the only ones to pick the Giants, I enjoyed it. _________________

So .... Was the field goal good or not?
With that said ... these refs are unbelievably bad. _________________

Very true.
Meanwhile, the Hepa Titus pandemic continues.

Ahahahahaha. So I saw this new comedy on TV called Monday Night Football, figured I'd give it a shot. That ending was hilarious! There were some episodes of the National Football League, a similar show, on Sunday, too.
Miscommunication caused a hilarious final play in the Lions-Titans game, too. It was chock-full of gut-busting moments all weekend. I'm gonna have to watch this show more often in the future. Hell, some receiver slipped on a hat thrown on the field, like it was a banana peel! Classic, love the throwback to the old cartoons.
Huh? What's that? Wait a second, I'm being told that this program is listed under "sports," not "comedy." I'm gonna have to call up my cable company, because that just isn't accurate! _________________
