Neither I am the one who got his hair cut.
The guy in the Pink is Brutus the Barber Beefcake and his tag partner was gonna be Ricky Morton but he got injured so they replaced him with Chance Prophet. I have the blue shirt at the start and since I am new I am my tag partners "youngboy" sounds bad at first but considering my tag partner is a deathmatcher who is kinda blowing up on the indie scene its not that a bad thing. |
Do deathmatches still draw? I kinda figured after CZW started to tone it down and WWE went PG that deathmatches were a thing of the past. Even the new FMW is much more restrained.
Have you worked any notable indie promotions? And what's your favorite promotion to watch right now? Mine's NXT and Lucha Underground. |
Deathmatching has become less about mutilation and more about storytelling as a whole on the indies IMO. Masters of Pain and TOD just happened and seemed to draw real well so I would assume the maket is still there. The most notable promotion I work for is Rockstar Pro because they do IPPVs. http://www.rockstarprowrestling.com
As for being a fan I still love WWE. I know to alot of people its the cool thing to hate on but I am enjoying alot of the stuff they are doing. Also Shinsuke Nakamora and Tomohiro Ishii are my current non WWE favorates. _________________

Oh you.
Glad to hear you got to go back to Harmonix, I always wanted to work there and even interviewed once a million years ago. I'm actually working on the new South Park game now and my lead on it came from Harmonix, he might have been there while you weren't though (Ken Strickland). _________________

I haven't picked up the plastar in quite some time. Last May I moved to nowhere Alaska to work a job, met the love of my life there, went to Hawaii, traveled South East Asia with the girlfriend for 40 days, got engaged on the Great Wall of China, and currently reside in New Orleans with the fiance. We are getting married in August in Puerto Rico. After that, we are moving to the east coast to finish up schooling (she's finishing up a photography degree, I'll be finishing up respiratory therapy). I've been thinking about going into film editing though. Not sure where I stand on that yet as of now.
Strange to look back when I was 22 or 23 when I joined this forum and now I'm 30, getting married, and getting my life together. I still game from time to time and make Let's Plays for my Youtube channel. Mainly Minecraft since I have a Realms server and my fiance and one of my best friends both are Minecrafters, so it's pretty fun.
So nice to see some familiar faces in here and see where everyone has gone Like catching up with old friends who you might or might not have ever even met. Feels good! |

Yep, after and then before my time. It's really weird being here after five years. So many of the newer hires know I know all sorts of shit about the company, but in reality I'm mostly starting from scratch at this point.
Not that this stops my co-workers from back then from making all sorts of jokes at my expense, of course. _________________

Oh man, I haven't been here in a long, long time (except maybe since the new RB announcement). I was never really particularly active on the forums anyway, mostly stuck around on IRC.
Man, I was 13 when I made this account, still in fucking middle school. I'm now 21.
I get really nostalgic about this place sometimes. IRC groups, meeting #toys dudes when I was like 15, streams...it was all a great time. I kinda got out of rhythm games after they stopped making them, and stopped coming to the site as well. I still stop by on IRC from time to time. If you're an old SH guy, you should stop by sometime too. Most of the channels are dead :/ _________________

Can't wait for these forums to get more active again with the release of RB4 and Guitar Hero Live.
Back when I joined I was studying to become an English teacher which I have since given up on. Started working as a butcher for a few years before I ended up at my current job as an IT consultant and Q&A person for a local software company.
Good to see some familiar faces. Brings back memories about the Podcast where I learned toymachine how to dutch xD _________________

Heh, logged back in after seeing this tweet from the legend himself https://twitter.com/jameslikecrazy/status/618645380171862016
The majority of my playing time/posts on SH were from around 7th-9th grade, I was super young back then and you could probably see it in my posts. I remember a math thread and defending to the death that -1^1 was -1... lets just say I wasn't as smart as I thought I was.
With the death of GH and RB (I heard there's some new games coming out??) , community interest died, and so did mine. GH3 was honestly the highlight of the GH series (at least for me). Despite its weird engine it was very fun to play. The engine in GHWT onwards honestly just felt weird to the point where it wasn't fun anymore.
Also towards the end of my playing career (lol), I got involved with a few individuals that were not the best people. Not really sure what I did to make them mad but I remember them sending me someone's address in a YouTube PM that they thought was mine but they were totally off ROFL...anyways I was like in 8th grade or something so I got really scared and deleted pretty much any trace I had. YouTube channel was gone (still regret to this day), didn't really use XBL anymore, etc. The funny thing is that I actually checked up on one of those people's twitter's like a year ago and it seems like he turned into a decent human being.
I still remember watching all of the streams of GH/RB on Ustream with <100 viewers, it's insane to think now how big video game streaming has gotten with Twitch's rise. I wonder how big the competitive GH/RB scene would have been if Twitch existed a few years ago. I'll never forget the time when I was watching Jprez's stream when he was going for the One FC (Undead had gotten it like 6 hours earlier or something, pretty much out of nowhere) and my browser froze right when he hit the last note. I blame it on the chat going insane lol.
Other fond moments: getting into stupid arguments with other players (most of them I was in the wrong), getting the first FC of Hell Hole, getting a message on XBL from Strikebowler585 about the Constant Motion FC (at the time it came out of nowhere, so it was shocking), witnessing Danny FC DWDTG on stream (his stream got thousands of viewers back then iirc), old Smokyprogg GH1 FC vids, that one dude on SH who faked his pregnancy, JLC's YouTube videos and streams, #bannerhero (I miss talking to inv4der, chaos, fish, kyle, flammablelion, etc everyday. I pop in there every once in a while but it's been a long time )and probably a lot more I can't remember anymore.
Anyways, after I stopped coming here, I worked hard in high school and got into a very good college. I'm about to enter my third year, was originally studying meteorology but might switch to something business related now. Despite my math troubles on the forums, I've been doing quite well. In terms of gaming, I got into speedrunning, held a WR in a very popular game, went to several AGDQs, etc. Hilariously enough, I met several SH members at AGDQ 2014 and 2015 that I didn't even know were into speedrunning, including z1mb0bw4y, Pheenoh (went by phenomenon on the forums), bjw, etc. I still talk to them pretty regularly. Haven't been speedrunning as much lately, got into CS:GO, League, and esports in general. Hoping I can find a career in esports later in life, that's the goal right now.
sry for grammar errors i wrote this rly fast

Haven't really played many video games over the past few weeks. Don't touch GH anymore and the only RB I play is drum customs (that'll change when RB4 comes out though). Other than that I usually only play Hearthstone or the random game with friends online. I'd rather focus my time/energy on bettering my life right now than gaming.
Still live at home with my mother and grandma. Planning on moving out at the end of the year. I'm 23 going on 24 in July and really want to be out there on my own. It'll be hard but it's about time.
I don't visit SH anymore but I still hang out in the (mostly) dead SH IRC channel. Most of my best friends right now I've met through SH. |
yeah yeah i still remember when I thought I got the first Mordecai guitar FC only to find out you did it like 3 hours before me, fuck you _________________

Actually it was about two and a half hours, everyone said it was two hours but it took me like half an hour to post the picture and submit my score because I had dial-up internet. Also had to wait the next day to post the video on Youtube from school. There's also some kid who popped in Jadon's stream impersonating me and trolling him a few minutes after I posted about my FC on the forums. It sounded kinda stupid to me because I couldn't even watch streams back then. Good times. _________________
