I'm pretty sure he was exaggerating, but yes, typically at 3 am, there are a lot fewer people online than at 3 pm.

Unless you're playing dota.

Pretty sure that's not a concern, you can already see the record labels are fully behind this Guitar Hero Spotify idea.

Seems like a lot of you just want to play the old GH games, so go play them.

dont get me wrong. i still want it to be a success, but the guitar alone is a making a lot of people scared of it because it's a new way to play. the more I think of it, the more i'll get it. I really like the song choice so far and the live background thing is very cool, I like it. im just not sure how my brain gonna react to this new guitar/highway and how to interpret it.

I'm thoroughly looking forward to have to relearn how to play; that was the most fun part of playing. Getting to the point where you can FC songs for the first time and then working through as many FCs as you can was awesome. Grinding War Ensemble and 21CSM for hours and hours and hours was admittedly less fun (although very satisfying once you actually got them).

Also games slowly fizzling out over several years and not becoming all-time-great games is not "failing". There are very few Pokemon Red/Blues and Super Smash Bros. Melees out there.

I've actually decided to preorder after really letting the concept sink in. For all the potential gimmicks, the game still looks fun at its core, and I think I'll enjoy learning the game again. Plus I am somewhat worried about how long it is supported, so waiting to pick it up down the line doesn't seem like a great idea.

See the white highlights under some of the notes? Those are the HOPOs.

So is there not going to be the ability to anchor notes? From some of the veteran footage theres three note chords where two of the notes are on the same color. I'd assume outside of chords if you're holding down any two notes the game is going to think you're playing a chord right?

My guess would be that anchoring would work if you're playing notes of the same color (a white 1-2 trill for example, you would be allowed to hold down the first button and trill on the second) but not if they are different colors. It would be dumb though since anchoring on a string on a real guitar would not affect another string, but again it shouldn't be too much of a hassle unless there are some really quick changes between the two colors.

Prove me wrong if I am, though.

I remember there initially being some sort of panic over the status of anchoring and then toymachine started acting like anchoring still works so I'd assume he knows something about it.

One person on SA said it didn't work and then multiple people said otherwise
