Guitar Hero Live - New Guitar Hero Game (360/X1/PS3/PS4/WiiU + Mobile)

Just got done playing GHTV for about 5 hours or so, and I really, really like it. There are some overarching icky-ness when it comes to score, it seems, especially with how the hero powers and guitar upgrades work... but the gameplay itself feels great to me.

Channels were, by far, my favorite way to play. I hope they expand to more channels and get creative with the sorting. Maybe have a "High Intensity" block or blocks from particular decades. I'm sure that'll come as their catalog continues to grow.

Between this and RB4, I couldn't be happier. I'm super glad to have two instrument rhythm games that play nothing alike but that I still enjoy immensely.

The GH:Live on-stage performances, though, creep me the hell out.

career done on easy and 5 stars everywhere. currently looking at every photos/videos in the gallery.

credits watched twice (in eaqch gallery, there's a trophy for that anyway lol) didnt see anything except the song+artist.

Got the game today, liking the GHTV concept a lot, but my guitar controller is miffed and double strums constantly, I can't hold a combo on even the easiest of songs when I downstrum. When I upstrum I'm okay, but that's not exactly fun

Anyone have any returning advice, do I just bring it back to the store or what? Got it from Best Buy

I'm kind of liking the 6 button thing, but a lot of the songs feel uncomfortable and chord shapes are unnatural, even though I play guitar. Anchoring is weird too, especially for songs like Down with the Sickness (you have to lift up each bar chord, you can't hold the first bar down and hit the other two). Some strange design choices, I'd probably be happier about them if my controller worked I suppose.

I just read about an easy method to get lots of coins in GH:TV. If you log into a channel and don't play, the note chart will disappear and you'll just watch the music video. At the end of the song you don't get XP but you do still get coins.

This means you can log into GH:TV, leave the game running on a channel while you sleep/work and when you come back you'll have tons of cash. They will probably patch this so better make the most of it!

OCD forced me to try the career on regular. Nothing happened. There's no way they would make you play advanced+ in order to do it. That's simply not fair to others. I'm starting to believe these got cut.

Just 5-starred all the songs on expert, and no sign of a secret song.

In case anyone's wondering, hardest to 5* was Tie Your Mother Down by quite a bit, then Love Bites. Everything else took more than a couple of runs. Honorable mention to Lazaretto for requiring you to nail the song in order to 5* it.
