Kind words, thanx. I started this last summer, somewhere around the middle of June and just finished it up the middle of this month. I just kinda did bits and pieces every once in a while, mostly experimenting with the paint I was using...and lotsa masking.

I chose this controller because the lines most closely resemble the Fender Statocaster that I play, and was practice for future Stratocaster projects. As I'm not a real guitar hero, only a guitar player, I like to airbrush the shapes I'm familiar with, the Kramer and the Les Pauls. I like Explorers, too, but I don't really know squat when it comes to the games. I like airbrushing cool stuff, and if you have a certain favorite axe you would like to see done up like you've never seen before, hit me back and maybe it'll be doable. Painting this "crappy" ps2 controller seemed like a good way to sell something I didn't really play with and along the way maybe brighten up someone else's life a little bit.

Well it certainly brightened up my day. As a fellow pyromaniac artist, I really appreciate the excellent work you did with the flames. The effects you can pull off with airbrushing really make me want to try it out myself. Great job!

Go for it, Bud. Your artistry is obviously there. There is no magic when it comes to painting real fire, it just looks a lot harder than it is. Thank you for your kind words and keep up the good work.
