You can't lump the Rock Band Network into that. There's a legitimate reason the PS3 does not have the RBN, cause they didn't have the tech in place for doing so compared to the 360. It's not preferential treatment. For the other stuff, yes it's appealing to the 360 crowd more and that's not just a GH or RB thing, it is like that with alot of games. |
Well the RBN tech is developed by Microsoft so thats probably not a coincidence.

With RB3 (apparently) getting a free Doors 3-pack at launch and GH6 getting this free pack, I'm really hoping having these bigger bands as free DLC is going to be a continuing trend, and not just a one-time-only thing. 
Unrelated, but I have to rage at this:

The fact that Rock Band Network is a primarily Xbox-centered feature has nothing to do with Harmonix favoring Microsoft/the 360 and everything to do with the fact that neither the PS3 nor the Wii have an XNA equivalent on their systems, making RBN impossible on them. That's why those systems will only see tracks released on them, but not the whole system.

I don't really get the MCR hate. It's like people says they are bad because other people do. Me myself appreciate any kind of band music. Why bother disliking anything without knowing enough about it?

We didn't edit it out. In fact, not only did we boost the volume of that vocal phrase, but we replaced the vocals of every song in the game with the phrase "FIST FUCK" repeating over and over. |

all things considered, worst month ever in the history of guitar hero.
reasons:
a) first month of warriors of rock DLC and they give us one free pack that only one console gets
2) they waste a week on songs we already have
Part the Third) the first week of the month was completely ignored
IV) consoles that aren't 360 only get a rocky horror shit show pack. great.
I'm glad i arbitrarily decided to stop buying GH DLC after soundgarden. I'll grab whatever free stuff comes out of course but unless it's something superfuckingincredible, my MSP will not go towards GH.

I dunno about you guys, but I'm renting GH:WoR just to play this pack on Vocals.
It's pretty annoying guitarwise, not gonna lie, so this seems quite efficient. Am I wrong?

To be fair, everyone gets this pack..just XBL Gold get it for free first. Other consoles get it next week.
Other than that I pretty much agree and still doesn't look like I will be buying much DLC from WoR.

To be fair, no they don't. If you read the small print of the press release, it only mentions prices in Microsoft points.

and the rocky horror and telephantasm singles are the same week. so making it slightly less bad, but still doesn't excite me. Wish I could get that free pack though.
