|
|
Well the most recent setup thread I could find hasn't been touched since 2009, so I figured I'd make my own instead of necro-ing that.
I just got my new keyboard today, so as of right now my setup looks like this:
Shitty dark picture, I shake too much to be a photographer:
One monitor is an ASUS V228H and the other is a Samsung LED TV, both 21.5" diagonals.
Computer specs are like this:
Anyone else feel like sharing? _________________

I feel like that's a very precarious place to have a water bottle. _________________

Nah, there's like a little inset platform, so it won't get knocked over very easily. _________________

I had a post in the old rant thread about how I was looking to get a new desktop. Pieman linked a good deal on NewEgg, but upon further inspection it had a shitty graphics card. Now I'm thinking about this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227385
I'm looking for a decent but not top-of-the-line (read: not super expensive) desktop, just something good enough to play Diablo III on. Any comments / recommendations? I don't want to spent more than about $800. _________________

Probably better suited to post that in the PC Building thread _________________

Maybe this is a good place to ask: how much should I invest in a laptop if I want it to last me the next four years of college without being completely useless? I don't need it to be useful for gaming, only for school-related things, whatever that might entail. _________________

6-700$ range. just keep it clean and dont install bullshit programs hah.
i wish i could afford a new PC, mine is, yes, 9 years old now still running on XP. most of the HD video are lagging and i think i should invest in the upcoming year, that'd make a huge difference. lol _________________

bclare, that computer should do you pretty well for gaming for a year or two, not sure how hardware intensive things are going to get soon.
Also vamp, it doesn't take much of a computer anymore to be able to do things for school, any given 5-700$ laptop will do you just fine. _________________
