Gone Forever - Three Days Grace
That song REALLY helped me after breaking up with my ex of 14 months who cheated on me several times and started dating a guy 3 days later. _________________

The entire CD of Converge - Jane Doe
Although you'll probably not like the music, the lyrics fit what you're looking for if you can understand the guy. XD _________________

They Might Be Giants - They'll Need A Crane; also, off the top of my head and bearing in mind I'm not familiar with quite a bit of their work:
"Don't Let's Start", about a couple who should break up but don't,
"Lucky Ball and Chain", about the regrets of a long-divorced man,
and (arguably) "The Cap'm" and "Climbing The Walls".
If you like wordplay in your lyrics, any of these should suit you down to the ground.
"Madelaine", by the internet-famous Jonathan Coulton.
"The Difference/So Sad So Lonely", by the actually famous Matchbox Twenty.
By Megadeth: "Addicted to Chaos", about the initial return to normality after a long-term relationship ends; and "Tornado of Souls".
and the absolutely beyond excellent "Shackled", by Vertical Horizon, about gathering the courage to leave an abusive relationship. _________________

Don't flit from one thing to another, because that just smacks of a large lack of determination and drive. And people don't like you for that, and won't remember you for it. I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man. | I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday. |

"Don't Let's Start", about a couple who should break up but don't,
"Lucky Ball and Chain", about the regrets of a long-divorced man,
and (arguably) "The Cap'm" - supposed to be about a mutually abusive relationship - and "Climbing The Walls" - supposed to be about starting a new life and relationship after a breakdown.
If you like wordplay in your lyrics, any of these should suit you down to the ground.
"Madelaine", by the internet-famous Jonathan Coulton, about growing tired of a woman's childish indecision.

Wow, that was nuts. This song was playing just as I read your post. I had downloaded Thing A Week 3 because I am going to see Jonathan Coulton in concert in 3 weeks and I'd never heard it before. Happened to look at my iPod just then and had a WTF moment. Good choice! _________________

Unless there's lyrics I missed in the solo, the whole first half is like "sorry I'm leaving but that's how it has to be, it's not you it's me, no hard feelings, etc." >__> _________________

Try playing it in GHWT? I never knew the lyrics to Satch Boogie until I got to see them in that game.

Hm, I always interpreted it as, "I'm not changing. You're holding me back from my true self. Fuck you. I'm outta here." _________________

No. He's saying that even though he cares about her, he can't commit to a new life (that he doesn't want) just to be with her.
None of mine were really "fuck you" songs either - except maybe Shackled, Madelaine and the two Megadeth songs - but I'm just correcting a misunderstanding. _________________
