Well, time for my entire sig to kick the bucket >_>
I think this will help for some of the downright pointless things people put in their sigs, so either way it's still good |

The only sad thing about this is no more EWiggen's poster of the week awards in sigs |

This is amazing, was so tired of scrolling through pointless checkboxes and huge images. I think my sig is within the limits but I'll go make sure now.
THANK YOU!!! |

Hmm, I guess this means I can't put my current desktop wallpaper into my sig like I had planned. |

Okay, I just needed to remove one line of text which wasn't really all that necessary anyway, I'm pretty sure my signature fits into the limits now. Great to see that signature dimensions are being clamped down on now, it's always been a pet peeve of mine.
Quick question - do the buttons underneath the signature contribute towards the 170 pixel limit? I'm assuming the answer is no, but it's probably better to check first.

I get the feeling an entire desktop picture would be too big anyway, let alone not fit into the boundaries. >_> I suppose you could still do it, just resize it to 170 pixels or less in height. _________________

Thanks a ton for cracking down on this. Regular forumites such as myself will certainly appreciate it. ^_^
On the 6th will you guys be adding the specification of 170x800 as a requirement to the edit profile page? It would be hard to expect these specifications of people without perhaps a more detailed description next to the place where one can edit their sig and maybe even a link to this thread.
Edit: Whoops I just resized my sig images and then read that bit about the fact that the dynamic sig images don't count. :/ Oh well, I'll add a quote. Cheers again to you mods for doing fantastic work here. _________________

I hate that I have to find something new to put down there, but I love that this removes all the stupid stuff I've seen in other people's sigs. Definitely a huge plus. |

Wow, this is an incentive to get me to trim my sig down a bit... Because Me thinks me has gone overboard... *might cut the StarPower Podcast plug* _________________

Good idea implementing a restriction on sig size. Kinda unrelated but is there ever going to be a SH dynamic score stats image for GHA? _________________

I've been waiting for some sort of signature limit for a while, but 800x170? Kind of small, but whatever :P
Time to find out how to resize .gif images >_> |

No, those are in a separate row that's not a part of the signature, they get put next to the "Back to top" link in the left column. You don't have to worry about those. _________________
