I searched for this topic in threads but came up with over 2k results so if someone could either answer my question on this thread or link me to a related thread it would be helpful.

Anyways my question is can I get a list of all the bonuses such as Hot Start, Note Streaker, etc. Also how to achieve them? I know a few but I would like to see what I need to do to maximize my bonuses at the end. Also is there a formula to how many notes in your streak = X number of dollars?

If you wanna figure this out it's easy. Take the number of $ earned from a few FC's and divide it with the number of notes in the streak. That should give you a overall average of the $ earned pr. note.

For the rest:
Solo Streaker - Note streak
$20 Hot Start - Hit all 25 notes in a combo
$20 Strong Finish - Hit the last 30 notes in a combo
$25 Never Red - Obvious, never get the rock-o-meter on red
$100 Perfect Performance - 100% a song
$25 New Highscore - Beat your old highscore
$10 Starpower Unused - Name says it all, and gives $10. A little bonus if you know you can't beat the highscore.
$75 5 Star Performance - Earn enough points for 5 stars
$60 Percent notes hit - Name says it. Think $60 is for 100%

Is this acurrate? Id so, thanks! We've been looking for a good list for a while. I'ma go ahead and save this, for future reference.

what about:
custom song $25 just play a custom song

$25- Whammy maestro- whammy every held note in a song.

I got it by chance while playing bass on an easy song with barely any held notes (i forget said song).

The bonus for Solo Streaker is 20*floor(NS/25), where floor(x) results in the largest integer less than (x). For example, an NS of 749 will get you 20*floor(749/25) = 20*29 = $580, but an NS of 750 will get you 20*floor(750/25) = 20*30 = $600. I just tested this out while sightreading XBass songs, and called my bonus after Do It Again.

theres some bonus like 'comeback' iirc. i'm not 100% sure about it and i can't test it since my WT is temporarily out of my hands BUT i think if you get down to flashing red and then build back up to finish in green you get a small cash bonus.

There's also money for a four-star performance. I forget how much, I think it's $40.

Do the dollar amounts change by difficulty level or instrument?

Yes, significantly because i only got like 300 for a hard FC

my roommates play on medium, and when i play Xdrums, i get more money than them even though i get shorter streaks and a lower %. difficulty is the most important factor in determining money bonus.

So I did a little science to this- play the same song* on a few difficulty levels.

(I had to pick something short, fairly easy and that I could play a whole bunch of times without wanting to garrote myself with the guitar strap.)

New High Score: $25 (heh, I thought this run sucked and it beat my FC score)

Perfect Performance: $80
New High Score: $20

Looks like there's some base factor, x4 for hard and x5 for expert.

So let's test the hypothesis:


guitar - BEGINNER (the things I do for science...)

So that's it.
Anyone wanting to know the basic factors, play beginner.
Then scale up by difficulty:

This makes me rethink the Solo Streaker bonus. I'm pretty sure it's what's listed below, and notice that it's not strictly subject to the multiplier-with-difficulty thing:

Beginner: 2*floor(NS/25)

Hard: 15*floor(NS/25)
Expert: 20*floor(NS/25)

Other things I found:

  • Perfect Performance still counts, even with overstrums.
  • You don't have to fully whammy every sustain to get Whammy Maestro. Just whammy at some point in each sustain.

Also noticed yesterday at my cousin's house, there's a "band unity" bonus. Not sure how much it's for. Obviously no "extensive testing" yet
