Every song? Holy God, that's going to be a lot of challenges. Any word on how they;'re going to implement that? _________________

1) allowing star power to flow over to other band mates if your is full is an awesome idea. especially if the guitarist knows they are in for a brutal solo, allowing others to get sp to help you out is awesome.
2)the new career mode sounds almost like a tony hawk-esque career, with gold, platinum, replacing the three tiered tony hawk challenges ,which should be pretty interesting if implemented correctly.
overall i have to say the only thing that i'm worried about from a drummers point of view is the kick line which to me looks like it might blend in on really intense parts. otherwise this looks like everything is coming together to be a really solid game.
edit: don't want to doulbe post so i'll put it here
tomorrow at 5:30 est ign is demoing guitar hero 5 live . i think this is the link to the main page to see it http://games.ign.com/articles/986/986892p1.html

Brianstorm, great song, but....hard as hell on drums (for me at least)
More speculation: Could the Eagles of death metal song be "Don't speak (I came to make a bang!)" ? I mean, that would be incredibly awesome _________________

Excited for this, but the only place I see "2 Minutes to Midnight" is on Wikipedia. Can anyone show me harder evidence? _________________

It's going to be I Want You So Hard or Wannabe in LA probably.
Also IGN will be showing Guitar Hero 5 and DJ Hero today on their feed.
You might need insider: http://video.ign.com/streaming/e3-2009/insider.html# _________________

Ya they messed up in the article. The White Stripes song is Blue Orchid, as was previously announced (which is the opening track off of Get Behind Me Satan). _________________

Thought so. I'll edit it.
Saturday Night's Alright is good, but I still woulda preferred I'm Still Standing (but I guess it would be a little boring on Guitar). |

85 songs? Neversoft is getting lazy. World Tour had 86 and the games are getting easier as they're having more and more mainstream (Which takes a lot less time to chart than virtuosos Michael Angelo Batio or Buckethead). Nothing about the song list excites me. I hope they introduce some new features or something. _________________

The Rock Show? Wasn't expecting that...last time I've heard that song was like...5 years ago...
Good song though. Better choice then some of the other Blink songs out there...
And by the way does this count as IGN's hour long preview on GH5 as it says they're having? |

I'm still trying to figure out, then, why every single rhythm game released in series by every rhythm game company in the world has had successively harder songs as the series progressed. This includes, but is not limited to, Beatmania IIDX, Pump It Up, In The Groove, Dance Dance Revolution, Pop'n Music, Taiko No Tatsujin, Keyboard Mania, Guitar Freaks, etc. _________________
