|
|
So today I was playing All Nightmare Long on GH3, and the verse fast strumming seemed to be out of sync. I'm not on an HDTV, it doesn't happen with any other songs, just this one. And only the verse sections.
I don't know, something just seems off about it. I'm pretty sure that the streak of notes in the music file changes a bit before the chart does.
Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem, or can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks in advance

It is out of sync. Pretty much so. I guess there's nothing to do really but deal with it. _________________

i thought this thread was going to be about the broken note on hard. but yeah i can never FC the strumming in that song on gh3. on ghwt/m it's pretty simple though. at least they fixed it for the newer games. _________________

It's not out of sync, it's charted badly.
The fast strumming ends with: Oranges, Reds, Oranges, Yellows.
The first four notes or so of each of these (EXCLUDING the Yellows) is significantly slower than the rest, however it speeds up again very suddenly.
Try it out, each time you change fret, slow down then speed up.
This is not expressed in the chart on slowhero, but play it on HS4 and you MUST see what I am saying.
Here's the chart: http://www.slowhero.com/gh3-dlc/expert/dlc84.no-squeeze.best.png
You need to slow down at the start of the 81st, 82nd and 83rd measures, as well as the 150th, 151st and 152nd measures. But remember this is only for one or two downstrums.
Let me know if this helps _________________

Damnit I knew it looked funny. I'd like a crack at it with the GH5 strum helper thingy. _________________

Shon, I'll try it out, but HS4 is too fast for me! |

Shon is right. If you ever play the chart in GHM it's the same, some beats are clearly longer than others. I assume it also works this way in GHWT. _________________

I haven't played the GHM chart so I wouldn't know, lol.
But thanks for the input, especially from Shon and Undead. |

It took me forever to even get the 750k achievement on this song because I couldn't keep a combo due to the way it was charted. I finally figured out how to strum the fast stuff. As Shon said, just charted badly |

I think "charted badly" is pretty unfair. Blame Lars Ulrich for varying his tempo more than 10bpm over a few measures. It's charted exactly how it should be, the man just can't keep a constant beat at that tempo, apparently. _________________
