Has anyone ever tried moving the second activation back a few notes so you can get the next fast GY notes under SP? _________________

I'm pretty sure that this has been mentioned before but I'm not sure where. I just crunched the numbers a bit, and found that the optimal place for the second activation depends on your note streak coming out of the fast strumming. If you have a note streak of 8 or less after the blue star power hold, then the best place to activate is on the green yellow chord after the second yellow orange chord hold. If you have a note streak of 9 or above after the blue star power hold, then it is best to follow the optimal path and activate next note. _________________
