Just if some of you were wondering, and wanted to import the game, I asked Redoctane and they answered:
"Hello Jonathan,
Thank you for writing us! Guitar Hero III IS region free on all platforms except the PS2. Hope you have a rockin good time playing!
Regards,
RedOctane Customer Service"
Woot Im definatly gonna import it, than wait about one month for it ^^ _________________

Cool Figured it was for the PS3, but that's good to get confirmation, especially for 360 and Wii too. _________________

Also does anyone have idea idea what sort of timeframe we'd be looking at receiving it from America if we preorder? |

Very nice. Much needed relief, I think, for PAL SHers. However, I wonder - What's the PS3's problem? _________________

depends where you live. if you stay in the UK then it would probably be in about 5 years or so, when the royal mail finally decides to get off it's collective fat ass and start delivering some mail

You win, I needed some LOL material and there it is.
Seems to be just London (cheers) and Liverpool today, but OH LOOK:
Quote: | 24 hour strikes are planned for:
* Monday 15 October from 6pm at Mail sorting offices and airports
* Tuesday 16 October from 3am at Deliveries and collection hubs
* Wednesday 17 October from midday for Royal Mail drivers
* Thursday 18 October from midday for Manual data entry centres
* Thursday 18 October from 2pm at Heathrow world distribution centre. |
Quote: | As a result of this disruption we have applied Force Majeure for contracts scheduled for delivery in the weeks commencing Monday 8th, Monday 15th and Monday 22nd October as we are not able to provide our normal delivery service. |
...thank you, numpties.
Y'know, I'm not waiting for letters regarding my student loan and pension contribution refund from my last employer that will enable to me to, like, buy food, or anything... even without considering GH3. |

Since ive been into the import game for 360s since August, from my research, 99% of activision games are region free. Enjoy... crackheads |

If I'm not mistaken, it's only for PS3 and XBox 360. Wii is not region-free. _________________

Amen... I ordered something 3 weeks ago and I still haven't got it. Besides, I'm 5,000 miles from home, and people send me lots of mail.... I need to get it before I freakin' leave the country again. Postal strikes ftl _________________

I did
Well I did some research and I can say that Wii games are definitely not region-free.
So either "RedOctane Customer Service" is wrong/forgot to mention Wii, or GHIII will be the first region-free Wii game (which I seriously doubt). _________________

I sent a mail to RedOctane, too, to ask, whether GH 3 for XBox 360 will be region-free and I got this answer:
Dear Customer,
Unfortunately GH III Legends of Rock isn't region free.
Thank you,
