alrighty then...i play X guitar/bass/drums across pretty much every game, working on X+ drums, but its a work in progress at this point...I play a little RB2 on the side, mostly on drums. I play a 5-lane stock kit with goodwoodmods, still tweakin them for overhits/crosstalk.

have a FG5* on every game (with exception to TTFAF on SH) on guitar, FG5* on every game on bass, 5* on probably 95% or so of all drums songs. not a ton of FCs.

Summer Update (8/17): So this has been the summer of drumming for me, aside from 5* on GH3 TTFAF and a sweating bullets FC i havent done much on guitar.

the bright side of it, i now have passed EVERY song on GH:M!(yes, both war ensemble and dyers eve fell in the same day), GH:VH, GH:SH, and all on-disc songs on GH5(only DLC i havent passed yet are Twilight of the Thunder God and On Broken Glass) on X+ with ONE FOOT Woo! This was REALLY tough to do, i'd say the hardest one was...either raining blood (damn the flood :/) or Hot for Teacher, got INSANELY lucky one run and got BOTH star power phrases in the intro and got insanely lucky AGAIN as i FC'd the sticking for the 2nd half of the drum solo. TTFAF was also tough, almost got 4* but the last 15-20% is just loaded with double bass and the sticking on top of it is fast so i lost the rhythm and if you lose your hands in a fast section your goose is cooked...

Notables i did well on, Laid to Rest was 5*, BatH high is 488k, Painkiller 650k 4*. Of course the 'easy' ones that dont change much such as YYZ, CiaM, Orion, Wherever i may roam, etc. were an easy 5*.

i have pics for the majority of them, wish i could figure out a way to get a video but alas i cant figure anything out...anyways thats what i've been up to and i should be more active once school gets back in session in 2 weeks or so.

Near-FC's (less than 5 notes missed)

GH5:
1. Electro Rock (again this week)
2. Sweating Bullets (reverse choke, FC'd outro)(FC'D)
3. Spirit of Radio
4. Sultans of Swing (again)
5. Wolf Like Me
6. Younk Funk
7. Still I Rise
8. Twilight of the Thunder God

GH:SH-
1. Beast and the Harlot
2. Mother (again)
3. Electric Eye
4. I Wanna Rock(FC'd)
5. Miss Murder

not sure whether to look at these as positives or negatives

Recent FCs:
1. Maiden, Mother, and Crone - Guitar
2. Unsung (live) - Guitar
3. Carry on Wayward Son (Guitar) (FINALLY)
4. I Wanna Rock (Guitar)
5. Sweating Bullets (Guitar)

Other random stuff (Guitar):

21CSM: -31 notes
Demon(s): -8 notes
Guilty Pleasures: Technical FC, best run had a few misses in the solo
Bark at the Moon: Technical FC
BatH: Technical FC

Bass stuff:

Hey Man, Nice Shot FC
Hot for Teacher: -3
Anything: -8
Guilty Pleasures: Technical FC, best run -4

Drums stuff:

655k Overkill
600k Trapped Under Ice
5* all metallica DLC
4* Visions Sightread
YYZ/RaBl/BatH 5*
passed BatH on X+ with one foot/one pedal
4* Painkiller on X+ with one foot/one pedal (~500k)

GT is CoalfieldRocker i'm always down for playing band quickplay or helping out in career so add me if you want and i'll do what i can.

Wow, this has been around since May and no posts? From what I can see you're pretty good too - Electro Rock isn't an easy song, good job and keep it up

When I read this, I remembered having trouble with some HOPO chord in Younk Funk, so I checked, and it seems to me that they're broken. I would suggest you just strum through that part this way you won't break combo.

Simply strum the 4 notes. You'll see, it works wonders. ;)

i'll give it a shot, i've combo'd it before but i had misses in the solo...its definitely do-able but i think it is a bit broken, i'd hate to think its all me...

Nice job on Devil. If you haven't already done so, work on making your own custom star power path for TTFAF based on which star power phrases you can usually hit and which sections of the song you can usually combo.

Pathhero will help you do this very easily

thanks man, and good lord 700k i'd probly smash my guitar and quit playing forever if i got that much on that song.

@dave0113

yea i've started to modify the "optimal" path to activate in the sections i combo best...gonna take the red snake into practice today i'm pretty sure i can tap it pretty easily with a lil practice

you can try and learn to tap the red snake, but that its not required to get the 5 star. All you really need to do for the red snake is not fail in it, which can easily be done by anchoring green, pressing the red button as fast as you can while strumming at a decent pace. If you are looking for a couple of places to get more consistent than work on grinding scales I and II. Also work on post insanity I and II, as well as rampaging dragons.

Also, comboing all of the sections that have fast strumming with no note changes will help you a lot too (for instance So Far Away I). Good luck with the 5 star.
