I'll just take a guess and say it had something to do with Axl Rose? |

yes and no. they started 15 mins late which is not bad, but the way he sang was barely understandable. he mumbled more than sang. the sound was awful compared to the previous band (Skillet) and the choice of song was meh ( http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/guns-n-roses/2013/les-plaines-dabraham-quebec-city-qc-canada-73d956dd.html ). we left 30mins before the end of the show because I had enough of this nonsense. solo after solo after jam after dumb pink floyd cover after another solo and so on. very glad I didnt pay a dime to see this.
and boy that guitarist want to look like Slash way too much. cut this scrap dude and get yourself you own style. _________________

Yeah, too many covers for my liking. And man, FOUR solos? That's way too much, would much rather have some of their actual material instead of them jerking their instruments. At least you didn't get a drum solo. |

I just got back from the Phish show on the 20th they did in Chicago. Holy. Shit. What a show.
Should I make a list of other bands I've seen? It'll feel so small... _________________

Saw August Burns Red this past weekend, and hit them up at the signing tent afterwards. AMAZING. _________________

Went to my first concert back in December. Saw Cheap Trick and Aerosmith in New Orleans. Cheap Trick was okay, but Aerosmith is just absolutely mind blowing with their performance! They sound awesome and really put on a show! Was very exciting! |

I went to Summer Slaughter a month or two ago. Animals as Leaders and Cattle Decapitation made up for the mediocrity of everyone else.
I expected The Ocean's live set to change my indifference about their music, but I think they may have just catered to the heavier crowd too much. |

I figured I ought to update my master list after this weekend at Austin City Limits Festival... The last 11 or so bands I saw on Friday and Saturday. Sunday we were supposed to see Franz Ferdinand, Phoenix and Atoms for Peace, but the storm we got Saturday night flooded the park and they cancelled the festival for the first time ever. Anyway it was awesome and here's my full list:
Saving Abel
Avenged Sevenfold
Buckcherry
Yellowcard
Between the Buried and Me
Shinedown (2x)
Coheed and Cambria (2x)
Asleep at the Wheel (2x)
Delta Spirit
Cold War Kids
Bright Eyes
Coldplay
The Antlers
Young the Giant
Skrillex
Cee Lo Green
TV on the Radio
Stevie Wonder
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.
Death from Above 1979
Fleet Foxes
Social Distortion
Arcade Fire
(This weekend)
Jimmy Eat World
fun.
Vampire Weekend
Arctic Monkeys
Kaskade
Queens of the Stone Age
MUSE
Portugal. the Man
Passion Pit
The Shouting Matches
Kings of Leon
If anyone asks, Muse was by far the best. My next favorites were Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, fun., or Portugal. the Man. Overall no duds or anything, it was all amazing, it's just too bad about Sunday (although we did get 1/3rd of our money back which is nice!) _________________

Have to give props to my favorite concert of all time: Lamb of God. Hard to believe the days of 'Laid To Rest' are almost ten years old. This is a timeless metal band http://smarturl.it/LambOfGod_Vigil |

I've only ever seen Billy Joel live, but it was pretty awesome. I was 8 years old at the time. _________________
