Also, what did we say about DM excluding ANL? I know we agreed that DM-ANL would be based on their placement in the WT DLC, but can't we also apply it to just GHM as well? Just seems rather lackluster if we leave them out of the GHM breakdown.

the DLC death magnetic charts are going in the WT DLC breakdown because for the purposes of the overall master breakdown at the end, we are going to be considering the difficulty of FCing the chart in its original engine. Sure you can play Dueling Banjos and FC it in GH5 with the slightly easier strumming engine and way better slide note engine, but that's not how we're going to rank it.
All Nightmare Long will have three entries- GH3, GHWTDLC, and GHM because there are three distinct charts. The rest of Death Magnetic only has two separate charts and will be represented in the GHWTDLC list.
Also, I know I said Wednesday but I'm impatient and there's already enough lists to get to phase two so any lists or changes after 4PM (Eastern) today won't be counted. That's five hours from right now. Phase 2 will go up a few hours after that once I've gone through all the lists.

I can FC AoS around 50% every time I play it, and I haven't FC'd anything that's considered more difficult in this group than AoS (namely Blood and Thunder and Armed and Ready), so yeah... It's probably that AoS' solo just clicks for me. Just like The Metal's Middle 8 solo, never had any trouble with that either.

I should say that's it has been a while since I've played this, which is blasphemous coming from a huge Metallica fan. But, I did most of this from memory, and looked at other lists to see where common trends for, e.g. most, if not all, are considering Seek and Destroy hardest in Group D, so I'll make it the hardest in my list.

Okay, so I don't have a list, but do people REALLY find Whiplash that hard? Just anchor G with tapping hand and use fretting hand for everything else.

GH5 strumming engine is easier than the WT engine isn't it? I know specifically Dueling Banjos was FC'd on GH5 way before it was done on WT (or was it ever?)
EDIT: just checked and I guess my memory is off... I could have sworn the first FC of that song was on GH5 but according to submitted scores there's only one FC ever of that song and it's on WT by The-B.O.D.
EDIT2: ok so no more lists no more edits. I'm working with the data now.
