I was working on GH5 (all gaming in this post refers to the PS3 system) when I decided to take a break and replay the PS1-era Final Fantasy games. Seven weeks later, that itch having been sufficiently well scratched, I get back to GH, and my two WoRtars don't work; one doesn't respond at all, and the other has a sticky toward-whammy-bar strum (away works fine). It's rather difficult to get a guitar around here (save for eBay, but I'm trying to save as much money as I can), but I did acquire an abandoned WTar from the pawn shop where I work. With no USB dongle.
I'm on my work weekend now, and I'd love to know if the WTar could possibly work with the WoRtar dongles I have. I know that they're different guitars, obviously, but I presume that they couldn't have changed that much from one to the next. And yet they don't work. Is there anything that can be done? Am I missing something in the WTar syncing process that isn't present in any other?
And as more of a general question, can dongles be mixed and matched at all, or are they genuinely guitar-exclusive?
